As a Digital Creator, you probably know how much of a timely investment it can be sometimes. Especially if you're visible on multiple Social Media platforms (like myself!).
Content Creation.
And with that, I mostly mean the scheduling behind it. But it doesn't need to be that way.
In this blog post I am going to teach you all about Content Re-Purposing, what it is and how exactly it can save you time!

So, what exactly is content Re-Purposing?
Simply said, Content Re-Purposing means that you're giving new life to a piece of content you've already created. In this case, whether you're making an Instagram post out of a Youtube video, or re-making a tiktok video in a slightly different way because the first one performed so well, the main goal here is to reach a bigger audience.
And to save time doing it.
The beauty of it, is that you can implement this hack on ANY platform that you're already on.

How can I save time by Repurposing my content?
Since the main goal is to save time here, it goes without saying that content Re-purposing does exactly that, without looking like your Instagram (or any other platform) got stuck on the 'Repeat' button.
If you own a business that markets itself mainly on social media (as most businesses do nowadays) then you might have heard of a 'Content Calender'. Maybe you already use it, maybe not.
But if you use it, you probably use it by brainstorming a few ideas, scheduling the ideas by date and going back and forth to your content pillars. You probably batch your content so that you're prepared for the next week or two.
So, do you create seperate content ideas for each platform?
Ofcourse not!
You might do that, if you want to burn out on the social media space, or lose your interest because 'it takes too much time' ;).
But that is not what we're going for here...

Now, how do I proceed?
I hope you didn't think I was going to let you off without guiding you into your next Re-Purposing mission? ;)
How to exactly turn your old made content back to life? Or create 6 pieces of content in just one go?
LET ME TELL YOU:
For video content, we'll use the following guide:
- Your Youtube video will be edited as a podcast.
- Your youtube video will be edited into a Reel and/or a Tiktok.
- This will be edited into a Linked video.
Now for your written content:
- Your blog post will be re-written and sent to your email list.
- This will be edited into a shorter version and posted on Linkedin.
- This will be copied into an Instagram post (or edit as you like ofcourse).
- You will set up new pins on pinterest, guiding your audience to your blog.
And of course, video content can turn into written content, and the other way around! Simple as that ;)
NOW, REMEMBER
This scenario would be great in a perfect world. However, we all know that nothing really is as simple as it sounds.
Try and finetune everything to your OWN likings as you go. Find a strategy that works best for you, and let this be a guide to help you save time and finding your flow in the world of content creation and Re-Purposing.
Don't get too distracted by the people who seem to have their whole content Re-Purposing and scheduling under control. They started EXACTLY where you are right now, and you're doing just amazing!
Of course, and sadly, not all your time management issues will be solved by just re-purposing. A lot of day to day tasks which I'll assume you are familiar with, will still exist. But at least it's one burden out of the way... If you really see it that way ;)
